Synopsis:
Who decides what is normal?
A unique love story about friendship and a view of the world from different perspectives. Waiting for Forever explores the connections people make in the face of life's changes. Best friends while they were growing up, Emma Twist (played by Rachel Bilson, best known for her roles in THE CW's hit series, The O.C., and Jumper) and Will Donner (played by Tom Sturridge, best known for his roles in Like Minds, and Being Julia) lost touch a long time ago--as far as she knows.

From director James Keach, and the producers of Walk The Line and Groundhog Day, comes an outstanding told story. Sometimes love is found in the most unexpected places. Other times it's staring you right in the face. Sometimes, you have to move into it, and embrace it, with full surrender and without fear. Either way, love does find you. Unless it has been following you all your life... And has been waiting for you to find it? For Emma Twist, this was the case.

Things in Emma's life, are just not going the way she hoped. She's an actress struggling in both her career, and relationship with her boyfriend Aaron (played by Matthew Davis, best known for his roles in Legally Blonde, and Pearl Harbor). To make matters worse, her father (played by Richard Jenkins, best known for his roles in The Visitor, and Burn After Reading) is stricken ill and near death, in her hometown where she grew up. With Emma's dreams seemingly falling apart, she decides to head to her hometown, and stay with her parent's, to be by her father's side. And Will? He is a guy who is unemployed, and absolutely in love with Emma... Only she doesn't know it. She doesn't even know the fact, that he has been following her everywhere she goes... Because he loves her. Will lives his life out, as though the world was like a story, or a fairytale. He dreams of a world where there is no sign of wrong, or grief. He feels there is nothing wrong, with how he lives out his life. But through his brother's eye's, it is quite the opposite.

When first seeing the trailer for this film, I quickly assumed it would be just another one of your average-cheesy-sappy-predictable-type, of romantic films. Although having this in mind, I decided I would watch it anyway. The official poster for this film, intrigued me as well.

As I began watching, I found that it completely differed from other films, within the romantic category. I found myself unable to stop watching. It was interesting. The film takes you into an unfamiliar story, and dialogue. It draws you in, making you want to know what happens, all the way through, to the very end. It is very hard to say that, about most films these days. This film not only focuses around the romantic theme, but it focuses on the dramatic. In some scene's it makes you smile, while in others it makes you feel the sadness, of which the character's are experiencing. It is a film accompanied by a great cast. I must admit, I have not seen such a good, and well written film as this one, within the romantic category, in such a long time. The most outstanding performance in this film for me, is that of Tom Sturridge, as Will. His character, was the most impacting, and the most I felt compassion for. And although the obvious would be to think it just plain creepy, that Will is stalking Emma, as you watch this film... In a way, I must admit, was in a certain sense absolutely innocent.

I rate this film, a 7.5 out of 10 stars.
